Topekan Manny Herron, who came from humble beginnings, has made a name for himself in the local real-estate world.
As a boy, Herron mowed the lawn of a real-estate investor who would eventually become a mentor of sorts, and that relationship sparked his interest in the field.
“I remember going from wanting to cut the lawn to wanting to own it,” Herron said.
In the latest episode of The Topeka Capital-Journal’s “It’s Your Business” podcast, Herron sits down with reporter India Yarborough and Katrin Bridges, of the Greater Topeka Partnership, to talk about his entrepreneurship journey — which hasn’t been straightforward.
